Welcome to our newly remodeled guest suite in our home! This is a private unit on the penthouse floor of the building. We live on the floor below. Private space includes: 2 bedrooms (each with a queen bed), 2 bathrooms, 2 TVs, Wi-Fi, a living room, a small desks area, a patio, and a kitchen. We are 0.5 blocks from Golden Gate Park, 0.5 mi from museums, and 1.5 blocks from train to Castro/Mission/Downtown/the Embarcadero/transfer to Oakland. Designated parking is not provided.

Good to know

This unit includes the whole penthouse floor of our home, which is comprised of private access to two suites (each with its own bathroom), a living room, a patio, and a kitchen. Like with many San Francisco homes, our house is narrow and has 5 flights of stairs. However, with all of the stairs comes privacy and great views of the city for your trip! The Sun Room is a great place to relax after exploring the city, which is all easily accessible from our location.

Accessibility and Availability

Neighborhood

We are located half a block away from Golden Gate Park, and an easy stroll to the California Academy of Sciences, the DeYoung Museum, the Botanical Garden, the Japanese Tea Garden, the Bison Paddock, Tartine Bakery, Arizmendi Bakery, and many other tourist destinations. The neighborhood is very walkable and we are lucky to be surrounded by great local restaurants and hikes.

My first time in the Sunset and I loved it. Some great neighborhood bars all within walking distance. The best part of the park is also right there. I really, really loved the location and will be back. Also, perfect if a loved one is at UC Pernassus. Very close (about 1 mile away)

Perfect spot for a friend trip to SF. Not a ton of communal space but we didn’t need it. Super clean, super comfy, great location. Would absolutely stay here again. Thanks Maximilian!

I’m hesitant to even write a flowing recommendation because we want to stay here again and don’t want it to become too popular, it was that good. Location is amazing. The amount of space is incredible. 11/10 experience.

Perfect (& delicious!) location for our family. Lots of privacy (each bed/bath was on an opposite wing) and a nice balcony. Very functional kitchen w quality stainless cookware and sharp knives. We really appreciated all the little touches and amenities including the fragrance-free soaps, from the bath to the laundered sheets & towels.

Love this place! It was sunny, homey and welcoming. The location was convenient to a lot of great food, especially Chinese. We had everything we needed in the apartment and host was responsive and accommodating. We were blown away when we asked if early check in was possible and they let us arrive at 9am with no extra charge. We also wanted to mention it was the first Airbnb we ever stayed in with a decent set of cooking knives. :-)

Maximilian was a great host who communicated exceptionally well. He answered some specific questions I had prior to our trip about San Francisco in general and transportation, etc. He was very responsive to any needs we had during our stay. We loved the close proximity to the Golden Gate Park and all it had to offer! I would highly recommend Maximilian and this listing.

Public transportation (via the N-Judah Muni train and various bus routes) is within 1 block of the building. If you choose to drive, we do not provide parking, but street parking is available in the neighborhood.
